The Steps to Gethsemane
Jesus probably descended these steps on his way from Jerusalem to the Garden of Gethsemane. It was in Gethsemane that Jesus spent his last hours in prayer before his trial and crucifixion. In the Garden, there are still olive trees that are 2000 years old (old enough to have been alive at the time of Christ)! Maybe we will add a stop to Gethsemane in future tours. Jesus probably also ascended these stairs on his way to Caiphas' house for the first part of his trial. This photograph was taken from the area of Caiphas' house.
